Overview
Employees are able to request a payout of their compensatory time via the Sell Time Off task in UNI Works. This is a separate payout from the required payout that happens each month for those over their maximum allowed comp time balance. In addition, during specific fiscal years, as dictated by the Iowa Department of Administrative Services, a one-time vacation payout may be offered to eligible employees. In the event of such an occasion the Sell Time Off task is also used for this offering.
Sell Time Off
Step 1: From the Menu, click the Manage Absence application.
Step 2: Click the Actions button and select Sell Time Off.
Step 3: Select the Type of Time Off (Comp Time) or Vacation - if/when eligible.
Step 4: Enter the number of Hours you want to sell from your balance.
Step 5: Enter a Comment, if applicable, then click Submit.
What Happens Next
The task is now completed. The payout will be processed on the following month's paycheck. You can view the status of the business process at any time by clicking on My Tasks > Archive > Process.
