Overview
This process is used to create a return in UNI Works for a good received from a supplier, as well as how to view your returns.
Key Terminology

Supplier | Supplier | A company, supplier, provider, or vendor that provides a product or service to UNI. Suppliers are used by Purchasing to procure goods and/or to source services. |
Create Return
Step 1: Using the search bar, search for and select Create Return.
Step 2: Select the transaction associated with your return: either Purchase Order or Receipt.
Note: You can locate your purchase order numbers through the My Requisitions report. The Purchase Order number can be found in the table on the line item of the requisition.
Note: You can also locate your receipt numbers through the My Receipts report. The Receipt number can be found in the first column of the table, along with the purchase order number.
Step 3: Search for and select the Purchase Order or Receipt you want to create a return for.
Step 4: Click OK.
Step 5: Select the Return Reason.
Step 6: Edit the Return Date, if applicable. It will default to today's date.
Step 7: Enter the Supplier Invoice Reference, which is the supplier invoice number, if known.
Note: If you are using a Punch Out vendor, you will not have a supplier invoice number.
Step 8: Enter the Supplier RMA when suppliers require a return material authorization (RMA).
Step 9: Enter any additional details in the Memo field.
Step 10: In the Goods Lines table below, specify the quantity to return in the To Return field for each line item.
Step 11: Add any supporting documentation in the Attachments tab.
Step 12: Click Submit.
What Happens Next
The return will route for review and approval. You can view the status of the business process at any time by clicking on My Tasks > Archive > Process.
View Your Return
Step 1: Using the search bar, search for and select the My Returns report.
Step 2: Use the search criteria fields to narrow down your search results. If no information is provided, it will bring up all your returns.
Step 3: Click OK.
Step 4: The My Returns report will display. Click the Purchase Order under Return to Supplier to see the details of the return and the process status.
Step 5: Once approved the Return Status will update to Approved.
