Overview
This process is used to run financial reports.
UNI Statement of Account
There are two Statement of Account reports: UNI General Fund Statement of Account and UNI Non-General Fund Statement of Account.
Step 1: From the Menu, select the UNI Financials application.
Step 2: Select the Reports/Tasks tab.
Step 3: Select the UNI General Fund Statement of Account or UNI Non-General Fund Statement of Account report.
Step 4: The Period will default to the current month but can be changed to a prior month.
Step 5: If you selected UNI Non-General Fund Statement of Account, select the appropriate Funds.
Step 6: By clicking OK all accounts you have access to will display. To narrow your search results, enter one or more Active Cost Centers, Functional Classification, Program or Activity.
Step 7: The landing page is displayed which shows the current budget and YTD Actuals for each account based upon the period selected.
Step 8: Hover over the YTD Actuals amount to display a small triangle.
Step 9: Click the triangle and select UNI Statement of Account. To view YTD Actuals by Ledger Account click any YTD amount in blue.
Step 10: Personnel Costs and Supplies and Services totals will display. To drill down, click either the > to the left of those fields or click any number in blue or click the small triangle next to the YTD Actuals for other options.
Step 11: Click on any of the blue numbers to drill down to the detailed transactions.
Step 12: Click on the transaction label in the Journal column to view the original transaction.
Step 13: You can also sort the information by selecting fields at the top. For example, if you are looking for a specific supplier, click on the Supplier heading and enter a Value and click Filter.
Step 14: Reports can be exported to PDF or Excel by clicking the icons in the upper right corner of any report.
UNI Non-General Fund Financial Summary
The UNI Non-General Fund Financial Summary report will show users their beginning and ending fund balance along with their revenue, expense and encumbrance transactions.
Step 1: From the Menu, select the UNI Financials application.
Step 2: Select the Reports/Tasks tab.
Step 3: Select the UNI Non-General Fund Financial Summary report.
Step 4: Select the Fund(s). To see the correct Ending Balance, only select one Fund.
Step 5: Click OK.
Step 6: The Financial Summary is displayed which shows the Ending Balance based on the Fund(s) selected.
Step 7: The Ending Balance reflects Beginning Unrestricted Net Assets plus Revenues less Expenditures and Encumbrances. Users will need to review this data in conjunction with Cash Balance.
UNI Transaction Detail
The UNI Transaction Detail report will show users specific transactions based upon the search criteria entered.
Step 1: From the Menu, select the UNI Financials application.
Step 2: Select the Reports/Tasks tab.
Step 3: Select the UNI Transaction Detail report.
Step 4: Select the fields you want to report on.
Step 5: Select a Starting Accounting Date and Ending Accounting Date.
Step 6: Click OK.
UNI Personnel Expenditures
The UNI Personnel Expenditures report will show users the Original Budget, Current Budget, Encumbrance and YTD Actual amounts by Employee .
Step 1: From the Menu, select the UNI Financials application.
Step 2: Select the Reports/Tasks tab.
Step 3: Select the UNI Personnel Expenditures report.
