Overview

This job aid will describe how managers can view emergency contact information in UNI Works for employees on their team.

Accurate and up-to-date emergency contact information is essential for every employee. In the event of an accident, injury, or sudden illness, your department, division, and/or Human Resource Services may use this information to notify your designated contact(s). To ensure this information remains current, all University of Northern Iowa employees are encouraged to review and update their emergency contact details annually or whenever a change occurs.

Manager Task

Managers should annually remind employees of the importance of maintaining up-to-date emergency contacts and provide links to the Edit Personal Data job aid.

View Employee Emergency Contacts

Step 1: Using the search bar, type the name of the employee and click the name to open the employee’s profile.

Step 2: From the employee’s profile, click on Contact.

Step 3: The employee’s current emergency contact information will display in the Emergency Contacts table.

Support

Each emergency contact listed for an employee will include a priority level, name, relationship, and at least one form of contact information (phone or email). Employees may choose to list multiple emergency contacts at their discretion.
