Limit who can add Calendar invites directly to your Google Calendar
To help keep your Google Calendar free from spam, you can select an option to display events on your calendar only if they come from a sender you know.
If you select this option, you still get email event invitations from unknown senders, but they appear on your calendar only after you accept.
Senders you know include:
* People who work at UNI
* People in your contacts list
* People you’ve interacted with before
To change this setting:
Navigate to calendar.google.com and make sure you are logged in with your UNI Google Account.
Click on the Gear icon at the top, then select Settings.
Make sure “General” is selected in the left pane.
Scroll down to the “Event Settings” section and find the “Add invitations to my calendar” dropdown.
Options are:
From everyone: Adds all invitations to your calendar.
Only if the sender is known: Adds an invitation to your calendar only if the sender is in your contacts or if you've interacted with them before. This might reveal to senders that they aren't in your contacts.
When I respond to the invitation in email: Adds an invitation to your calendar only when you respond to the invitation in email.
Depending on your needs and uses for calendar, either of the other two highlighted choices may be preferable.
This setting doesn't affect invitations you've already received.
