How do I restrict a Blackboard Test to specific testing center?
UNI has configured Blackboard, so an instructor can now restrict students so they can only take a test or survey in Sabin 102. Students outside of Sabin 102 aren't able to take the test or survey.
How to use this feature
First submit a reservation for Sabin 102 using this link: https://uniservicehub.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/70/group/118/create/303
After you’ve confirmed you have Sabin 102 for your test date and time, you can set up your test in Blackboard using the Restrict Location within your test settings. You will be able to select Sabin 102.
Inform your students that the exam is IP-restricted and can only be taken using a computer in Sabin 102.
How does it work?
An IP address is a unique numerical label assigned to every device connected to a computer network. The UNI IT Department has identified the range of IP addresses used by the computers in Sabin 102. When you apply this restriction to a test in Blackboard, the system will automatically block access for any student attempting to take the test from an IP address outside of that defined range.
