IT Charge Back Rates
IT provides a variety of services to the UNI campus. Some services are offered via a campus Recharge Center and must be billed back for. The information below outlines the services provided and any charges associated with those services.
Server Virtualization / Storage / Backups

Networking
Wired Network Ports:
New wired port: $200 + labor and materials (no Resnet port charge)
Make existing wired jack live: $200 (includes labor and 1 network cable) (no Resnet port charge)
In building port swap. If you would like to make a port live within a building and disable an unused live port. No charge.
Wireless access points
In general, IT will provide general wireless access to all reasonable locations on campus. Please submit a service hub request if you have a location that you feel should have wireless access that does not.
$1000 + labor, materials, & port charge (generally $1300 per location)
Use of existing building fiber: $1500 per hop + fiber at $0.30/ft (based on the number of strands needed).
Projects: If the project pays for a switch, occupants have 9 months after the project end to make ports live with no additional port charge.
Field Services Labor
$60 per hour (minimum 30 minutes)
Break/fix work (unless obvious intentional damage) - no charge.
Printer Repair - Parts only
Voice Services
Networking and Voice for external customers :
$32/mo per port for Internet Connection
$8/mo for Zoom Phone
