Zoom is asking for supplemental software
Sometimes when you launch Zoom Workspace, usually only the first time you launch it on that device, the app requests additional software.

On a university computer, the software has already been installed! All you have to do is grant Zoom Workspace permission to access your location.
Step-by-step guide
Quit Zoom Workspace if it is running
Open System Preferences
Enter 'location' in the search bar
Select 'Privacy & Security'
Click on 'Location Services'
Scroll down to 'zoom.us'
Click on the slider to grant access
