Upgrade to Windows 11 23H2

This article is intended for UNI employees that have been directed to upgrade their computer to Windows 11 23H2. If you have not been directed to upgrade, please do not proceed.

This upgrade is fairly minor in nature, and thus shouldn't take more than a half hour. If the upgrade option doesn't appear, please leave the computer turned on for an hour or more and come check it again. If you are off-campus and the upgrade doesn't appear, please connect to the external VPN and wait an hour. If the upgrade fails to run, please restart your computer and try running it again.

Instructions for Launching the Upgrade

  1. From the start menu, type Software Center and launch the application that results from the search.

  2. Click on the Updates tab.

  3. Click on the Windows 11 23H2 option.

  4. Click Install.
