When are Blackboard courses populated with students?

Spring and Fall semesters:

Registered students will be automatically populated into Blackboard courses 2 weeks before the official semester start date.

(e.g. Fall 2021 semester start date is Monday, August 23, 2021. So Fall 2021 Blackboard courses will be populated on Monday, August 9, 2021.)

Summer semesters:

Registered students will be automatically populated into all Summer Blackboard courses 1 week before the official Summer semester start date.
Note: The "1 week before" is because of the shorter time frame between the creation of summer course shells and the start of the summer semester.

(e.g. Summer 2021 semester start date is Monday, May 10, 2021. So all Summer 2021 Blackboard courses will be populated on Monday, May 3, 2021.)

Exceptions:

For a class that has an official start date in the Student Information System (SIS) that is 2 weeks before the official semester start date will automatically be populated 1 week before that class's official start date.

(e.g. "UNIV 101 History of UNI Fall 2021" has an official start date in the SIS of August 2, 2021. The Blackboard course will be populated with registered students on July 26, 2021.)
