Personal Settings on a University iPad

If you have a university-owned iPad or iPhone and want to sign in using your personal Apple Account, please set the device to NOT automatically install all your apps.
You might have apps that aren't allowed by the state, such as TikTok, or personal apps that shouldn't be on a university-owned device, such as banking software.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Open Settings

  2. Enter 'Apple Store' in the search bar

  3. Turn Off "App Downloads" - This will prevent your apps from automatically installing.

  4. Turn On "App Updates" - This will make sure any personal apps you have installed stay up-to-date.
