Items that I have already graded are still in the Needs Grading status

If you have items within the Blackboard Ultra Gradebook that have been graded, but are still populating to the needs grading area, this is most likely happening because instead of grading a submission you used the override feature.  In order for the items to no longer appear in the needs grading status, you will need to clear the override and grade the submission directly.

Start by accessing a submission that is in the needs grading status, but has been graded using the override feature.

1. Go to the Gradebook.

2. Click on the Overview tab.

3. Within Needs grading, click on Grade now on any item that has been graded but is still populating to the Needs Grading area.

4. The submissions should load.

Next you will need to provide a grade directly in the submission and remove the Override.

1. Enter the grade in the submission grading pill to the left of the Override.

2. Click the three dots to the right of the Override.

3. Select Remove Override.

Open

This should clear the override and make it so the graded work will no longer appear in the Needs Grading status.
