Data-Drop User Account First Drop Account Sign-in

Once a drop account has been created, the owner will need to sign into their MyUniverse account. Under "Password Central", they will see the new drop account:

Here the owner will click the drop account and they will be prompted to create a password. *Be sure to save this password in Bitwarden or somewhere safe*

Once the user has saved their password, they will need to open WinSCP. If WinSCP is not already installed, a Service Hub help ticket will be need to be made.
Open WinSCP and follow these steps:

1 - Select New Site
2- Make sure "File protocol" is listed as SFTP
3 - Put datadrop.admin.uni.edu as the Host name
4 - Make sure the "Port Number" is 22
5 - Username is the drop account name (can be found under Password Central) i.e. drop-api
6 - Put the password you set up on MyUniverse
7 - Save your connection

You will receive a prompt, asking if you would like to continue connecting to an unknown server and add its host key to cache, select Yes/Accept

User will create key pair and email the datadrop admin the public key. If private key is sent, that will be considered compromised and the key will need to be re-created.
