How Do I Change My Name in Blackboard?

Since Blackboard is integrated with the Student Information System (SIS), biographical updates (name changes, username changes) are now automatically updated daily.

If a user has entered a Preferred Name in the SIS or (HRS Workday), that value is being sent to Blackboard.

If you do not like how your name appears in Blackboard, you will need to change it in the SIS (or HRS Workday, if you are an employee).

Students:

Name Change Form

Students can utilize this form to change how their name is listed in the University's student information system. The name on the student record should be the student's complete and legal name. Once this form is filled out and signed, it should be submitted to the Office of the Registrar for processing.
