How Do I Join My Professor's Zoom Meeting?

Finding Zoom links

Professors and instructors will usually dedicate a space for the Zoom link to be posted, the location could be in several spots:

An Email - Typically, at the start of every semester a welcome email to your course goes out with important information for the course.
In the Syllabus - The link, meeting ID, and passcode if required are often found here.
Link made available in on Blackboard

Don't be afraid to reach out and contact your instructor for the link if you are having trouble finding it. Remember, professors are here to help you.

Joining Zoom

Using the Zoom client to access a meeting can be done either signed in or as a guest.

Open the Zoom client.
Join a meeting using one of the following options:
- Without signing in, click "Join a Meeting".
- By signing in:
  - Sign in to Zoom.
  - Click the Home tab.
  - Click Join.
Enter the meeting ID and your display name:
- Enter a display name if you're not signed in.
- Change your name if you do not want the default name to appear when you're signed in.
Select if you would like to connect to audio/video.
Click Join.
