Troubleshooting Google Drive for Desktop
This article outlines some of the common issues people might have accessing their Google Drive space using the Google Drive desktop application.
Issue: Google Drive is not listed as a connected drive in File Explorer
Solution:
Make sure the Google Drive application is running and that you're signed in.
Click Start > All apps
Scroll down until you find the Google Drive application and click to open the program.
You may be prompted to sign in or if you had previously signed in the drive should connect
You may have another device occupying the letter G for drive mappings already. You may need to change the letter Google Drive uses. This article will help you switch to a different drive letter.
Issue: Google Drive shows a question mark in File Explorer or you get a message saying you can't open a file when using a pinned or frequent location in File Explorer
Solution:
Try to quit the Google Drive application then reopen the program
