What is the best time for me to do an assessment with my students?

The IT ETMS-Instructional Technologies team strongly recommends doing major assessment activities ONLY during IT business hours (Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm). This includes any assessments that would have a significant impact to the students' grades in your course. If you choose to have these assessments during off hours, we recommend allowing late assignments or retakes of tests/exams IF there is a problem with the technology during that time. If there is a major interruption of our services during off hours, IT staff will work with our cloud vendors to get things back as soon as possible, however we will not be available to assist individual students and faculty until AFTER the outage is resolved.

If a faculty member chooses to do major assessments during off hours, the faculty member is responsible for troubleshooting any issues that a student may have during those times.
