Current UNI students, faculty, and staff qualify to install Microsoft Office on their personal computers for free using their UNI CatID login. Emeritus are unable to access Microsoft Office through UNI's license.

Installing Office

1. Log into your UNI Microsoft account.

2. Follow Microsoft's instructions on installing Office: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/download-and-install-or-reinstall-office-365-or-office-2019-on-a-pc-or-mac-4414eaaf-0478-48be-9c42-23adc4716658.

3. After installing Office, sign into the application using Microsoft's instructions: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/sign-in-to-office-b9582171-fd1f-4284-9846-bdd72bb28426.

4. Your account will be signed in and you can use Office.

I'm having problems logging in. How can I fix this?

You can try a Password Synchronization. If that doesn't work and you are a current student or employee, contact the IT ITS Help Desk.

I just left UNI. How long will I have access?

Students should have access for 90 days since your graduation date. Staff lose access the day after their last day of work on their PAF. Faculty typically have 90 days after the last day of teaching.

If I lose access to Microsoft 365, how can I keep my documents?

If I want to continue using Microsoft 365, how can I do that?

You can purchase a subscription from Microsoft's Store. Additionally, Microsoft may offer additional discounts for recent graduates.
