Adobe applications are widely used here at the University of Northern Iowa. Here are some common troubleshooting steps for solving issues with installed Adobe applications on a macOS computer.
Signing in to Adobe products at UNI
Here are instructions for Signing into Adobe products at UNI.
If you are seeing errors or are having issues signing in using the previous instructions, this could be related to any Adobe Keychain entries you have. If you open Keychain Access from your utilities folder on the computer you can remove any Adobe specific keychain entries. Or otherwise follow our instruction for Keychain Password Repair in an attempt to fix the issue with signing in to use Adobe.
Installing or Reinstalling Adobe products at UNI
Self Service is how you can install or reinstall Adobe products available at UNI.
Further troubleshooting of Adobe products
Apple recommends updating your computer to the latest macOS version when troubleshooting any issues with the computer or installed applications. This can be done through Self Service on the computer.
Often uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe completely resolves issues with the applications. This can be done by using the Remove All Adobe Products option in Self Service. It is also recommended to remove any saved Adobe preferences at this time as well. This can be done by utilizing the Delete Adobe Preferences option in Self Service.
Once the Adobe products have been completely removed, they can be installed again through Self Service on the computer.
