Panopto Video Retention Schedule

Videos that have been viewed/used in the last 25 months will remain active in the system. Note:  Once a video is viewed, the "clock" is reset to zero and it will take 25 months for it to be moved to an archived state.

Videos that have not been viewed/used in the past 25 months will be automatically moved into an archived state. Videos in the archived state can be brought out of the archived state and back to a viewable state simply by someone clicking on the video. Once the video is clicked on, it will take 24 to 48 hours for the video to be moved into a viewable state and the "clock" will be reset to zero days since last viewed. 

Videos that have not been viewed for 5 years will be permanently deleted from the system.
