Salesforce Roles in SRS require FERPA Training

Salesforce Roles in SRS require FERPA Training

Current users of the salesforce system must  have completed FERPA training in the last 2 years.  Access will not be given until training is completed.  As time goes on, training must be completed every two years.  Users will be informed at least once as their two year mark approaches.  Once passed a users rights will be removed if they have not renewed their training.  This may result in calls to the service desk.  To identify these users and help them get on their way, please do the following:

  1. Verify via SR02 that the users roles have a recent end date, or they have no roles to begin with.

  2. Verify the error message users are getting (purple screen  with Old UNI logo and Single Sign-On Error under it), this is and indication user is not set up in SRS for access to salesforce.  (screenshot below)

For a user to get access to salesforce, they need to:

  1. Follow the instructions on this page (Finding your Campus Training courses in eLearning)

  2. If they do not have FERPA training listed and they have never had access to salesforce, use SRS to request access.

  3. Once access is approved, the user will get access to the FERPA training and 1 week grace period to complete the training.

  4. Return to step 1 and complete the training.

  5. If the user has had access in the past, they should still have access to the FERPA training, if not, please create a service hub ticket.
