Closed captions are required for UNI videos that are made public according to federal laws Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Closed captions as an accommodation for a specific student also falls under these laws. Contact Student Accessibility Services for closed captions as an accommodation for a student. You can edit the automatically generated captions in your own YouTube channel, and do the same for your Panopto videos.
