How do I add a Zoom link to my Blackboard course? (Instructors)
Preliminary Steps:
1. First you will need to log into Zoom. If you don't know how you can follow this guide on Logging in to Zoom.
2. Once that's completed make sure to create the meeting unless you have already done so. If you don't know how to create a Zoom meeting follow this guide on how to create a Zoom meeting.
3. We recommend making your Zoom links used for the course as 'Recurring' meeting, explained at the bottom of the page.
Retrieving the Zoom link you want to share in the course:
1. On your desktop Zoom application, go to meetings by clicking on the "camera" icon in the top center of the page.
2. Select the meeting you would like to add to your course then select "Show Meeting Invitation".
3. Copy the URL under "Join Zoom Meeting".
Going to your Blackboard course to provide the link:
4. Log into your Blackboard course and go to the page you would like to have the link displayed in. In this example, I will be using the "START HERE!" page.
5. Then go to "Build Content" and select "Web link".
6. Enter the name of your web link for "Name"; in this example I have named it "Zoom Office Hours". Then, in the "URL" box, paste that URL we copied from Zoom earlier. Click "Submit".
7. If everything went well, your "START HERE!" content area should look like this:
Hint: You may take the same steps to provide your course Zoom link in your Blackboard course.
Marking your meeting as Recurring:
To be able to use the same link throughout the semester, make it a 'Recurring Meeting". You may mark it as 'Recurring' when you create the Zoom room, or edit it later by following these steps:
1. Click the "three dots" next to the title of your meeting and selecting "Edit".
2. On the following pop-up screen a "Recurring meeting" option should be visible. Check the "square box" to the left of the text "Recurring meeting", then select "Save" at the bottom right.
