Sections of the new MyUNIverse Portal
Note what each person sees in the MyUNIverse portal is tailored to them based on their life here at UNI. What a student sees, is different than Faculty, and what staff see is different as well. You may not even see all the tabs identified below, and the ones you do see may change over time as your life here changes, or the system is enhanced.
Current Announcements
This section lists the top 3 announcements for you. If there are more, there is a link so you can view all announcements.
Favorites
Is a bit of a misnomer, in that you can not define your favorites, but in implementing the updates to MyUNIverse we identified the “favorites” for each category of user and put them here for you.
Student
Available to all current and prospective students. This tab contains helpful, secondary student links that are not included in the primary shortcut area.
CatID & Access
Available to all users. This section helps users manage their UNI identity, update passwords, and manage access permissions for UNI systems.
Campus Resources
Available to all users. Content dynamically updates based on your role at UNI. Students will see links for the student health center, student organizations, and the online job board. All users can access information regarding parking, event tickets, and campus alerts.
Academic Resources
Primarily focused on students, with select resources for faculty. This tab hosts tools that enhance a student's education at UNI outside of specific course materials.
Teacher Education
Visible exclusively to users involved in the teacher education program. This tab centralizes necessary program resources and links.
Employee Resources
Available to all UNI staff and faculty. This section contains links to internal systems required for daily tasks or occasional administrative needs.
Faculty
Visible exclusively to UNI faculty members. This tab contains links to specialized faculty systems. Administrative systems used by all university staff (such as eLearning) remain under the Employee Resources tab.
Reports
Contains links to the central Report Center and specific system reports (such as SIS). Users will only see links for data and reports they are authorized to access.
Online Degrees & Programs
Visible to students enrolled in online education programs. This tab centralizes the links and resources needed throughout your online academic career.

A major update to the look and feel of MyUNIverse is coming!
On May 21, the MyUNIverse portal will be updated with a new look and feel. This update is designed to:
Reduce clutter
Improve accessibility and overall aesthetics
Enhance mobile-friendliness
Understanding the Change
While the MyUNIverse portal is often associated with the student system, they are separate entities. You will still use MyUNIverse to access your Student Center; however, the Student Center itself will not be impacted by this update. We are planning similar updates for the Student, Faculty, and Advisor Centers, with a goal to implement those during the upcoming winter break.
Personalized Content
The updated MyUNIverse will be tailored to your role. Students will see student-specific information, while staff will see only staff-related resources based on their credentials.

The portal serves as a hub for various resources. Clicking these links will now open them in a new browser tab. Depending on your browser, you may need to adjust your settings to allow pop-ups for this site.
