Third Party Accounts
Background
Creating a Third Party Account allows someone to have access to your confidential information that is protected by federal and Iowa law. Students can select specific information that your third party will have access to. Students have complete control over what your third party accesses. For example, 1098T Tax Form, Account Summary, or Grades. This is most commonly used by students give their parents access to pay their bills or other University-related information.
Requirements
An active CatID.
UNI student (former or current).
Process
Log into myUNIverse.
Scroll down the page until you find the "Third Party Accounts" section and click on "Manage 3rd Party Accts":
4. Click on "Add New Account":
5. Enter the Third Party Name (i.e. Dad), relationship, and the password you want them to have:
6. Check mark what you want your third party to have access to and then click "Save Third Party Account":
Resetting a password for a Third Party Account
Third Party accounts expire annually. The account owner will get a notification like the following:
To reset the password:
Log into the Third Party Account application.
Click on the account to reset.
Remove the current password in the Current password field and create a new one, typing it again in the Confirm password field.
Click on the Save Third Party Account button.
Provide the new password information to the third party account recipient.

You can delete a Third Party Account at anytime. Choose the account and click the garbage can icon to the right and the account will be deleted:
