Set up the Gmail App on iOS for your UNI Email Account

These instructions will help you set up the Gmail app on your iOS device to be able to use it with your UNI email account.

 

Step 1: Download the Gmail app from the iOS app store and launch it. Tap on Sign in. 

 

Step 2: on the Add Account screen, tap Google.

 

Step 3: The Gmail app will ask permission to use Google.com to Sign In, click Continue.

 

Step 4: You'll be taken to Google.com to sign in. Enter your UNI email address and tap Next.

 

Step 5: You'll be taken to the UNI CatID login screen. Enter your CatID information and tap Login.

 

Step 6: The Duo prompt will appear. Authenticate as you normally would.

 

If you use the Duo mobile app to authenticate, a notification will pop up on your screen from the Duo app. Tap it.

 

You'll be taken to the Duo notification screen to approve. Tap approve.

 

After approving the notification, you'll land back on the Duo home screen. Tap < Gmail in the upper left hand corner of the screen to go back to your Gmail app.

 

You are now signed in to your UNI Gmail account in the Gmail app for iOS!
