Connecting to UNI Guest WiFi

UNI offers UNI Guest WiFi (the guest wireless network) to provide internet access for visitors who are unable to connect to the eduroam network while on campus.

Availability

UNI Guest WiFi is available in all academic buildings except:

  • UNI Dome

  • McLeod Center

  • Residence halls

Important Information

  • UNI Guest WiFi is for guests of the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) only.

  • Students, faculty, and staff must use eduroam. Devices that have previously connected to eduroam will be blocked from using UNI Guest WiFi.

  • UNI Guest WiFi is a public, unsecured network. Some UNI systems (for example, Citrix) may be unavailable while connected.

Steps to Connect

  1. On your device, select UNI Guest WiFi from the list of available networks.

  1. Open a browser and you will be redirected to the UNI Guest WiFi Welcome Page.

  1. Review the information and select Accept and Continue to proceed.

  2. You can now browse the internet using UNI Guest WiFi.
