Event registration vendor demos scheduled!
The vendor demonstration sessions have been scheduled for the Event Registration system. They are:
October 22, 2pm - 5pm, CBB 109 (John Deere Auditorium)
October 23, 9am - 12pm, SEC 220
October 24, 2pm - 5pm, CBB 109 (John Deere Auditorium)
I am hopeful that many of you will be able to make it to all three sessions, as each one will feature a different vendor and solution. I will be developing an evaluation form for attendees to provide feedback following each session.
One thing I would like to clarify. There has been some confusion in regards to how these systems compare to the EMS (Event Management System) on campus. The EMS system is used primarily for managing events and building resources for events and classes. What we are looking for in this system is more of an event registration system that will present those interested in a UNI event a user friendly registration page that is specific to each event. Once a registration form is completed the registrants information will be stored in the ConnectUNI system (salesforce). This same system will be used to track event options, details, who actually attended etc..... So this new system will not replace EMS, both will remain as they have very different focuses.
